caramel walnut sauce

1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 stick butter (not margarine)
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 cup walnuts, broken

Mix sugars, butter and milk together in a heavy saucepan and cook over low heat about 45 minutes or until thickened. Add walnuts. Serve warm or cold. From The Arlington Journal.
